This singer was a unique phenomenon on the stage, his compositions stood out from the crowd with a special musicality and deep meaning. But fate measured out incomplete 35 years of life for the talented singer. When Igor Talkov died tragically, his son was only 9 years old, and at that time he least of all understood what was happening. And native people, plunged into their own grief, could do nothing to help the boy who suddenly lost the most dear person.

Beloved son

The family life of the famous singer Igor Talkov and his wife Tatyana was far from ideal, but for the sake of their son Igor, who was born in 1981, they retained the appearance of a happy couple. But their love for their son was genuine: mom and dad doted in the child, never left without their attention and tried to educate in him, first of all, a real person.

He was sent to school quite early, at the age of six. As Igor himself recalls with a laugh, he began to speak late, already at the age of five. And in a year he so annoyed everyone around him with his endless questions and conversations that they decided to quickly send him to school, first with in-depth study of English, and later to a private gymnasium.

Igor Talkov personally studied with his son, but when he began to delve into the educational system, he was faced with the fact that his own ideas about the sciences, especially the humanities, were too different from generally accepted norms.

Igor Talkov, despite numerous comments in his diary, refused to give his son a "decent" haircut, arguing that the boy wears such a hairstyle that he likes. And he reminded the Russian classics that long hair did not interfere in any way from creating works of genius. In response to comments that Igor comes back wet and red from recess, he replied: he is a child and must run, play, throw out energy.

The musician was not satisfied with the form of presentation of the material in the textbooks. He studied history himself and once made many red pencil marks in his son's book. The parent was summoned to the school principal, and as a result of a long conversation, the younger Talkov began to study at home. For a whole year Igor mastered the program with a visiting teacher.

In general, Igor Jr.'s life was very comfortable. Loving parents, many acquaintances, a father who sings with a guitar … Little Igor fell asleep to his father's music, constantly listened to his songs. There were musical instruments in the house, and the singer's son always came up to them and dreamed of how he would one day play something of his own on these instruments.

He was only three years old when his father asked his son to sing "A Christmas tree was born in the forest." And then, laughing, he told Igor that a big bear had stepped on his ear. And he took the heir to the taekwondo section.

He was not yet 10 when his father was gone. And everything in his life changed instantly.

From extreme to extreme

Mom was somehow immediately confused, not knowing what to do and how to continue to live. Despite the fact that things were far from going smoothly in their lives, Igor Talkov did everything to make Tatyana and her son feel protected.

The paternal uncle and grandmother, who took part in the upbringing of their grandson and nephew, after the death of Igor Talkov somehow plunged into religion. They found consolation in an Orthodox church, attended all services and taught Igor the Younger to a life of faith.

Igor returned to school only a year after his father's death. At home he felt completely free. After lessons, like all boys, Igor went to explore the world, wandered the streets and basements in the company of the same tomboy.

With his uncle and grandmother, he found himself in a completely different world. There you had to live according to certain rules. In the morning, without breakfast, they all went to church together, attended a service, confessed, and received communion. And the boy was afraid of both God and the devil at the same time, even dreamed of slipping and dying immediately after the service.

Finding yourself

But the older Igor got, the more he thought about the meaning of life, tried to find answers to many questions that were born in his head. Later he began to study history. And then, already in adolescence, he felt a desire to make music and sat down at his father's synthesizer. I mastered it first, then I learned to play the guitar. He created his own melodies, then began to shift words to music. Seeing his father's notebook forgotten by his mother on the table, Igor took it in his hands and was able to read the unpublished poems of his father. Later, two songs of the elder Talkov appeared to the music of the younger.

Igor Talkov grew up and fully felt himself to be the carrier of his father's genes. He fell in love with music, but he could not get a professional education. He studied at the Institute of Contemporary Art for only two months, and took the documents from the Institute of Culture just a few days later. It seemed unnatural to him to try to teach music like mathematics, translating and explaining it in the language of science.

Nevertheless, Igor Talkov decided to devote his life to music. He does not try to prove anything to anyone, just as he does not try to become famous thanks only to his surname. He creates his own music, writes songs and considers himself to be the successor of his father's work. He does not consider himself better or worse than Igor Talkov the elder. He's just different.

He released only one album in his life, in 2005, but then decided to post his songs on the Internet, rather than record new discs. His group, created in 2009, bears the symbolic name "Mirimir", reflecting his attitude to life. Igor Talkov was able to establish relations with the singer Aziza, whom everyone considers to be the culprit of the death of his father, and even invited her to become the godmother of his son.

They say that Igor has a difficult character, he is too principled and uncompromising, but the performer himself does not consider this a disadvantage. He was married twice, he has a daughter Varvara from his first marriage, living with her mother in Berlin, and two sons, Svyatoslav and Miroslav, who live with their father and mother, Svetlana Zimina.

Igor Talkov refused to drink alcohol and does not eat animal products. In this he is fully supported by his wife and sons. At the same time, he does not elevate food to a cult and does not impose his life principles on anyone, leaving it to other people to make their choice.

And for more than ten years now, Igor Talkov has been giving a concert every year on the day of the tragic death of his father in St. Petersburg, on the steps of the Yubileiny Palace, the very one where the fatal shot was fired in 1991.

Igor Talkov's life came to an abrupt end on October 6, 1991. Talkov's murder became one of the most notorious crimes of the early 1990s. and some moments of his life are considered by many to be signs warning of imminent death.
