Young designer Brian frandsen loves art, creativity and himself very much. And he loves so much that recently in an art project Face to face created a three-dimensional portrait of him … from 250 layers of carpet. This art project was developed by the designer in cooperation with the renowned carpet manufacturer Ege Carpets. The process of creating a three-dimensional portrait, in fact, is not much different from other similar installations, or sculptures, in which the material for creativity is paper, acrylic or wood. The carpeting is laser-cut to the desired shape, after having taken measurements from the model, a pattern is applied, after scanning the photo, and then the layers are folded in layers like a cake. This is how a three-dimensional portrait is "baked".
The Face to Face project is 250 layers, which is 920 sq. meters of carpet, and so far the first and only such experiment of a young designer. The portrait will be presented at the famous I Saloni in Milan at the end of April this year.

Buy My Face: the face of an advertising campaign or an advertising campaign on the face?
“Advertising is the engine of trade” - even a schoolchild knows this. But British students Ross Harper and Ed Moyes know that creative advertising is doubly effective! The guys are the authors of the Buy My Face concept, which literally means “Buy my face”. Resourceful "businessmen" decided to lease their faces to advertisers: company logos are applied with paint, which allows the guys to attract more and more new customers every day. They want to spend the money they receive to pay off their debts for their studies: as long as they are good

Charles Dickens and three sisters, three rivals, three loves
The life and career of the great Charles Dickens is inextricably linked with the names of the three Hogarth sisters, each of whom at different periods of time was a muse, a guardian angel and his guiding star. True, considering himself a unique person, Dickens always blamed his life partner for his misfortunes, in which he did not differ from the overwhelming majority. Yes, and he did not act like a gentleman, becoming for posterity a vivid example of how one should not break marital ties
Layers of reality by Slovenian artist Miha Artnak
It is naive to think that reality has only one layer - visible to us. Only those people who are afraid to look beyond the generally accepted think so. A person with imagination and a creative vision of the world will see a multi-layered reality even in an ordinary wall of a house. An example of this is the work of the Slovenian artist Miha Artnak, namely, a series of his works called "Layers"
