Times change - tastes also change. A striking example of this is how the images of heroes were transformed in the cinema. During the Soviet era, the idols of women were Zhenya Lukashin, Nestor Petrovich, Gosha, aka Goga, aka Georgy Ivanovich … But let's be honest: all these characters would hardly have become the idols of today's girls, because give them pumped-up, strong, brave supermen, ready accomplish any feat. And if you think about it, it's not entirely clear what their fans could find in the cult heroes of Soviet films.
Gosha, aka Goga, aka Georgy Ivanovich ("Moscow does not believe in tears")
No one will argue with the fact that Alexei Batalov's Gosha is damn good. And it is not surprising that Katya Tikhomirova lost her head from a handsome man with a difficult character. But let's still pay attention to the character of the hero and find out what is wrong with him.
Goga is very categorical in his reasoning: everything will be as he said only on the grounds that he is a man. That is, it turns out that Katya, who raised her daughter alone, received an education, achieved career heights without outside help, never hoped for anyone, should give up everything just because her lover does not accept the fact that a woman is higher in status.
And what is George like? No normal work, no education, no housing. And he is not going to change anything in his life. On the contrary, it is Catherine who should court him, make excuses for being more successful and hid it. And having learned the truth, Gaucher simply prefers to disappear, because in front of him was not a simpleton, but a person stronger than his character. By the way, then he also suddenly appears and does not even apologize. Don't you think that the filmmakers are trying to convince the audience that a woman over 40 with a child, although successful, should be content with a tit in her hand? And the question here is not even the status and financial situation. It would seem that everything ended well in the film: the characters stayed together. But let's try to guess what fate awaits the main characters. George does not know how to negotiate at all. And how much patience Katya will last is unknown.
Zhenya Lukashin "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!"
Surprisingly, it is Zhenya Lukashin who consistently leads all sorts of ratings of the most disgusting characters in Russian cinema, although, it would seem, he is a positive hero. Even by today's standards, he is an enviable bachelor: a doctor (and this profession has always been held in high esteem), a romantic, singing about ash, an intellectual (and they usually don't roll on the road). But why was the audience so disliked by him?
Let's start with the main thing: Lukashin clearly has a penchant for alcohol addiction. Well, a person who, in fact, rarely uses, cannot get drunk so much that he does not remember where to fly.
On the other hand, Zhenya is an egoist who thinks only of his own comfort. How many years he met with Galya, not daring to propose to her, but not pushing away. And then he left on New Year's Eve, no one knows where, immediately fell in love and left the girl … on the phone and did not even apologize. No matter how they say that you cannot order your heart, it is still wrong to act like a pig with the one who has been with you for several years. And even with Nadia, the main character does not behave very beautifully. He flew in, took her away from the groom and went back to Moscow. Such a character, not only now, but also in the Soviet era, could not arouse sympathy.
Nestor Petrovich ("Big Break")
Nestor Petrovich is a hero teacher. After all, not everyone can take responsibility for students who are … older than him, do not understand why they need education and, in general, have been working for a long time and even have families and children. But the teacher with enviable dedication is trying to re-educate the bully Ganja, persuades Fedoskin to return to school, who, by the way, is his rival (what a nobility!). In general, the young man does not spare himself, devoting all the time to over-age wards. In addition, Nestor is so impressionable that you want to feel sorry for him and caress him. A dream, not a teacher!
But this ideal teacher also has its drawbacks. Take, for example, the fact that his girlfriend first met with Fedoskin, and Nestor Petrovich took her away without a twinge of conscience, and not vice versa. But when Polina, and not her young man, enters graduate school, it really hurts him. Why, a woman, even a beloved, bypassed him. This he cannot forgive and abandons both his beloved and science. And at school there is beauty: students and colleagues are ready to carry it in their arms. But this is not enough for Nestor: he climbs into someone else's life and believes that he has the right to decide for others how is right and how not. And most of all I feel sorry for Nelly, who managed to fall in love with the teacher, but he does not dare to immediately say that he loves another. Then the ideal image of a teacher collapses forever.
Shurik ("Operation" Y "and other adventures of Shurik", "Prisoner of the Caucasus, or Shurik's New Adventures", "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession")
Although there are more than a hundred works in the filmography of Alexander Demyanenko, his viewers still continue to associate him with Shurik. It is noteworthy that Leonid Gaidai was looking for an actor for this role for a long time, and even almost approved Valery Nosik. But one day he came across a photograph of an artist with whom the director was already familiar. Then he realized that it was him that he was looking for. And the brunette Demyanenko, even for the sake of the role, dyed his hair blonde. It is noteworthy that in all three films Shurik has a different kind of activity: in Operation Y … he is a student, in Prisoner of the Caucasus … he is an ethnographer, in Ivan Vasilievich … inventor. But in all the pictures she is so kind, advocating for justice, sometimes naive, principled and responsible. But it is precisely these features that often lead to curious situations.
But most of all it is insulting for the girls who sympathize with Shurik. Well, how could you spend the whole day with Lida and then not remember it? But the guy has an excuse: he was preparing for the exam. And who will believe the story that Nina herself wanted to marry comrade Saakhov and asked to kidnap her? Only a naive ethnographer. Moreover, he did not think to ask the girl herself about it. And the story with Zina, who was about to go to the director? The noble Shurik, without any questions or scandals, took her and let her go.
We don't want to say anything against this hero, because all this is fiction, around which the whole plot develops, and in the end, good still wins. But such a hero now clearly would not be held in high esteem.
Afonya from the film of the same name
At the center of the tragicomedy, which, by the way, became the leader of the film distribution in 1975, is the plumber Afanasy Borshchov, whom everyone simply calls Athos. But the man does not like to work, but is engaged in looking for an opportunity to drink. The hero played by Leonid Kuravlev constantly gets into unpleasant stories, and young people bring him up as an anti-example.
Afonya is looking for an older woman, completely oblivious to Katya Snegireva, who has been secretly in love with him since school. Having unsuccessfully tried to seduce several ladies, got into trouble, visited the police, invited Katya to marry him, staying with her for the night and the next morning saying that he did not remember anything, having lost his job and apartment, he fell into depression. And only realizing that nothing good shines in this life, he decides to fly away to no one knows where. But he is stopped by the same Snegireva, who also continues to wait for him.
That is, for a minute, Afonya does not himself seek the girl's favor, but she herself comes to him. Do you believe that a man suddenly fell in love with Katya? Or he still decided to be with her out of despair. Here is a hero for you - a drinker, wasting his life in vain and devaluing feelings.
