Argentine artist and architect Tomás Saraceno is widely known for his extraordinary installations and sculptures with the obligatory interactive elements. An example of such an interactive structure is his installation "In Orbit", which was open to the public for a while at the K21 Standhaus shopping center in Düsseldorf. Another installation by the artist, Poetic Cosmos of the Breath, looks no less impressive.
Poetic Cosmos of the Breath is an interesting experimental project of the artist. The installation is a giant solar dome made of a thin foil-like membrane. Several sandbags became the necessary weight to secure the structure to the ground.
At dawn, when temperature changes are especially noticeable, the artist and his team gradually filled the makeshift dome with air, which, when heated, gave it the necessary volume. In the rays of the rising sun "Poetic Cosmos of the Breath" looked especially expressive, shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow.
Saraceno has gained international recognition for its many projects. Thomas's aerial sculptures and ecological installations amaze not only art lovers, but also venerable critics, and the presence of an architectural education and a desire to experiment allow Saraceno to create alternative art - bold and interactive. He does not hide that he draws inspiration from the world around him. Its structures resemble either clouds or a giant spider web. This is how Saraceno creates his own visual world, complex and interesting.
The artist was born in the Argentine province of Tucuman. Now Saraceno, a cosmopolitan by nature, lives and works in Frankfurt (Germany). He received his degree in architecture from the National University of Buenos Aires (Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires), the largest university in Argentina. The second alma mater for him was the Frankfurt Academy of Fine Arts (Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Kunst), where the artist studied from 2001 to 2003. Saraceno is a participant in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as a winner of major thematic awards, including the prestigious Calder Prize.

Inverted dome inside the church. Installation by Gijs Van Vaerenbergh
Visitors to the Church of St. Michael in the Belgian city of Leuven must have noted the fact that this structure lacks such a traditional element as a dome. The guys from the creative tandem Gijs Van Vaerenbergh, using the installation "The Upside Dome", tried to rectify the situation, but they did it in a rather strange way: the structure ended up inside the church - light, weightless and, as the name implies, turned upside down
