The one who has a successful creative career is the American artist and sculptor named Christopher David White … Young and early, he only graduated from the University of Indiana in 2012, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics, but has already managed to become famous for his incredible creative work, large and small sculpturescreated during study. Despite the fact that these works attract attention with their appearance, for which Chris White deserves to be called a talented young sculptor, they also have an inner zest. It is she who makes talented works incredible, unique and inimitable. Intricate sculptures, in which reality is combined with fiction, and serious topical plots coexist with funny and even a little extravagant, seem to be carved from wood, or creatively designed land art. Some of the sculptor's art projects really look like gnarled stumps and snags picked up in the forest or caught from a stream … But this is all an illusion, a joke, based on the exceptional talent of Chris White to imitate the texture of wood, working only with ceramics, wax, acrylic.
How the artist managed to achieve this amazing result and turn ceramics into real wood, one can only guess and admire his talent and hard work. The fine works of the young artist will take their rightful place among the works of art made by novice masters at the beginning of their creative career. And already today Chris White arranges solo exhibitions and takes part in mass expositions, surprising the audience with his outlandish works, which, with all the desire, cannot be called ceramic. They are wooden, and that's it. And only if you look closely, touch, you can be sure that this is not a joke.
