On April 14, one of the most extraordinary artists of the national stage, Pyotr Mamonov, celebrated his 70th birthday. His band "Sounds of Mu", which appeared in the 1980s, became a real explosion, and the composition "Shuba-Oak-Blues" became the anthem of the underground. He sang, danced, played on the stage and acted in films. Pyotr Mamonov lived to the fullest, and at the age of 45 he decided to change everything in his life. The musician redefined priorities and learned a lot. But there are sins in his life that he has been forgiving for a quarter of a century.

Rebel and bully

His life might not be different from the thousands of lives of his peers. He grew up on Bolshoi Karetny in an intelligent family. His father was a very good engineer, a specialist in blast furnaces, his mother worked as a translator from Scandinavian languages and taught her son not only generally accepted values, but also independence. And Pyotr Mamonov grew up really independent and early realized his uniqueness. Since childhood, he showed acting skills, but more than anything in the world he loved to stand out from the crowd, for which he was known as a rebel and a bully.

He could set off an explosion at a school near the chemistry classroom, and he was especially pleased to walk in glasses, which were decorated with a chain with a handle from a toilet cistern. He also wrote poetry and during his school years, together with friends, he organized the Express group. True, in those distant school years, he did not yet know that music would become a determining factor in his life.

Love, glory and permissiveness

At the age of 21, Pyotr Mamonov first married the girl he loved. This marriage lasted about eight years and fell apart due to Mamonov's too strong addiction to alcohol. Even the birth of a son did not make the young father give up his addictions. Later, the musician met his second wife Olga, who had to go through many trials until she finally found the long-awaited family happiness. During the period of the extraordinary popularity of "Sounds of Mu" Pyotr Mamonov was very far from the ideal of a husband and father.

At 25, he experienced clinical death after being hit in the chest with a file in a drunken brawl. The sharp instrument went right under the heart and pierced the lung. Doctors fought for his life for 40 days, while he was in a coma, and right after the hospital he went to a beer stall, and even demanded to skip the line, as an invalid.

His whole life was subordinated to the search for pleasure, and therefore over and over again he tried something new for himself: alcohol, drugs, an endless change of girls nearby. And Olga waited, persuaded, admonished. And she got rid of unwanted pregnancies three times.

He was one of the most famous musicians, after which he began to act in films and enter the theater stage. At that time he had everything: fame, money, recognition, the most beautiful girls in Moscow and a feeling of incredible freedom. He was free to do whatever he wanted, and no one would dare to deny him anything. Even today he is rightfully considered a legendary man. He was constantly in search of something until he realized that his life was meaningless, and all the benefits of the world available to him did not make him happier.

Life is just beginning at 45

Today he seems to be trying to correct all the mistakes he made in his youth. At the age of 45, he suddenly realized that the highest bliss is not worldly pleasures, but communication with God. And since then, the life of Peter Mamonov has completely changed. Now God always comes first in his life, his family comes second, and only then work and creativity.

Now he does not hesitate to admit that all his life he served the devil and therefore rolled downhill. If he could just rip out those pages from his biography for which he is ashamed today, he would do it without a shadow of a doubt. But, unfortunately, he can only forgive the sins that were in his life.

And Pyotr Mamonov, who once shocked the audience with his antics, conquered the hearts of millions with "Sounds of Mu", gave all of himself to the audience during his solo performances, now speaks with his characteristic passion about what changed his life. Behind a closed door, he asks God to forgive all his sins and, as Peter Mamonov himself says, "to deliver from all my nasty things."

Drugs and adultery, alcohol and pride, love of money and gluttony - all this was in his life. And three children who were never born - this is his sin too. Pyotr Mamonov admits: he does not want to remember his past life, but he does it again and again. He tells in his interviews about everything in as much detail as possible. Not because he regrets the past. He just wants to warn those who are now on the same slippery path as he once was. Who knows, if his life had not changed a quarter of a century ago, Pyotr Mamonov might not have existed at all.

At 70 years old, Pyotr Nikolaevich is cheerful in soul and body, he devotes his life to God and gladly agrees to give interviews. Only then to tell people what is the true meaning of life. And now he is accustoming himself to the fact that every day he should be useful. There are no good deeds, which means that the day has passed in vain. And he also strives to be extremely honest with the audience, with others and with himself.

Remained in the distant past and the times of the stormy youth of rock musician Vyacheslav Butusov. Today he leads a secluded life, spends a lot of time with his family and considers the main thing for himself to be spiritual searches, in which he is guided by faith in God.
