It is believed that our world lacks kindness, and modern people lack the ability to sympathize. Several stories, which will be discussed in this review, have become public over the years, caused a great resonance in the world and made people think seriously. TV shows have already been filmed and books have been written about some of these heroes. There is no doubt that they all allow us to return faith in humanity.
Saving parents
Some states of Myanmar periodically become the scene of violent religious and ethnic conflicts between the Rohingya Muslims and the majority of the population professing Buddhism. It is difficult to say who is to blame for these strife, but, as always, civilians who are forced to flee en masse to neighboring countries suffer. Most of them move to Bangladesh on their own. In 2017, thanks to this photo, which got into the media, millions of social media users learned about the plight of refugees in the region. The unique story of filial gratitude amazed people to the core. The young man Muhammad Ayuba, leaving his home, literally took his parents with him. He put his paralyzed mother and seriously ill father in wicker baskets and dragged them on him for 7 days. At the same time, the path of the refugees lay not along roads, but through mountains, forests and swamps.
Finally reaching Bangladesh, Muhammad gave an interview to Turkish journalists and spoke about the hard lot of his people. Sadly, in the dire conditions of the Kutupalong refugee camp, his father soon passed away.
The last guardians of the old
Thanks to the unselfishness and kindness of these two young people in America, the Care for the Elderly Act was revised in 2014. Maurice Rowland and Miguel Alvarez worked in a private nursing home in California as a cook and cleaner. When the company went bankrupt, the entire staff simply left, and most of the elderly returned to their relatives. However, 16 elderly patients remained to live in their rooms, as they had nowhere to go. Young people could not leave them and continued daily to care for the abandoned old people, some of whom already did not understand where they were and what was happening. In order to have time to provide them with at least minimal care, the guys were forced to work almost day and night. Eventually, this situation attracted public attention and led to a change in legislation.
Billionaire without billions
Charles Feeney is truly worthy to be called a philanthropist and patron of the arts. Today, of course, most people who have managed to make millions and billions of dollars donate a lot to charity. However, Charles is the only person who donated not 5-10% of his income for general needs, but absolutely all the capital! And by the way, we are talking about $ 7 billion. This talented businessman earned his money on the Duty Free chain of stores. It was he who once invented and implemented this original idea. In 1988, Charles, according to Forbes, was the 31st richest person in the United States. However, over the next decades, the Charitable Foundation, founded by Feeney, managed to invest in various areas almost all of his fortune. The main goals were science, health care, education, nursing home maintenance, and civil rights protection in many countries, including Australia, USA, South Africa, Vietnam and Ireland. According to the plans of the former billionaire, he will spend absolutely all of his funds on charity by 2020, after which the Foundation will cease to exist. By the way, for the first 15 years of this noble activity, the philanthropist hid it. His work began to be actively covered in the press only in 2012, when the grandiose scale of investments could no longer be hidden.
Beggar patron
Bulgarian grandfather Dobri is now also called a saint from Baylovo. Unfortunately, more than a year has passed since this man died, but the memory of him will probably live in his native places for a long time to come. The details of his fate are not known, except that he worked on the ground all his life, and during the Second World War he almost completely lost his hearing. In the last decades of his life, he became famous for his truly ascetic lifestyle. Grandfather spent the night in a small house on the territory of the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in his native village, his daughter looked after him. Dobre Dobrev traveled to Sofia every day. Sometimes, if there was anything, - by bus, sometimes on foot. In the capital, near the Alexander Nevsky Memorial Church or the Seven Saints Church, he collected alms all day. This amazing person donated all the money raised to churches and orphanages. He spent the minimum amount on himself, often wore clothes donated by other people. At the same time, the money that he gave to charity was really significant. Only for the renovation of the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky, grandfather donated 35,700 levs, which corresponds to about 18,250 euros. This investment, by the way, is the largest one from a private person in the entire hundred years of the temple's existence. Probably, all modern ministers of the church should learn from a 103-year-old man from Bulgaria real Christian values.
Biker Defenders
If it seems to you that bikers are potentially dangerous guys who are only too keen to drive along the roads at night, frightening peaceful inhabitants, then you are deeply mistaken. The Los Angeles team known as Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), for example, have taken on a very noble mission. Boys (and girls) protect sexually abused children. Probably, from the point of view of psychology, tough defenders in leather and rivets are exactly what can give confidence to a frightened child. Volunteers guard the victim's home at night, escort the kids to school and to court hearings. They even got permission to be around when the child testifies to make him feel more at ease. The guys from BACA very clearly demonstrate that mercy and kindness can come to this world in very different forms and forms.

Which predictions of the futurists of the 1950s have already come true, and which will come true soon: distance learning, drones, etc
Futurology is a very interesting teaching that is at the intersection of science, art and common sense. It has nothing to do with predictions, since futurologists always carefully follow technical innovations and try to guess the vector of human development. Sometimes it works out well, and then we admire their perspicacity, sometimes the trends are guessed wrong, and in that case it looks funny. Not so long ago, another direction has become fashionable - retrofuturism, - the study of prog
