Few knew that Vera Glagoleva was a master of sports in archery. She herself said that this hobby in her youth largely shaped her character, made her hardy and purposeful. Many paid attention to the fact that this fragile girl had a very strong character, and in combination with incredible sincerity and touching, this became her main trump card as an actress. In many films, Vera Glagoleva was filmed without makeup - the actress was allergic to it, but her simplicity, spontaneity and naturalness in the frame fascinated the audience. She was never even offered to play negative characters - this did not go well with her appearance. And in adulthood, Vera Glagoleva looked great, and her friends called her "a woman without age."

Rodion Nakhapetov was very jealous of filming his wife with other directors, accompanied her on a film expedition when she starred with Anatoly Efros. Then Glagoleva was so impressed by the famous director that he invited her to his theater, but she was forced to refuse. She later regretted this decision very much, because it was a great chance to start a theatrical career, and she missed this chance. Later Glagoleva admitted: "".

She managed to prove her creative independence from her husband in the film "Marry the Captain", which brought her her first real fame and the title of the best actress of the year. And then, from film to film, she gained more experience, grew up, changed, and less and less wanted to obey her husband in everything. Because of this, a discord occurred in their family life. In the late 1980s. Nakhapetov left for America, while Glagoleva and her children remained in the USSR. There he got another woman, and after 14 years of marriage, one of the most beautiful couples in Soviet cinema broke up.
