From 12 to 15 January 2009, Hong Kong Fashion Week was held in China. This outstanding fashion event celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year. Being one of the main suppliers of clothing and accessories to the countries of the world, Hong Kong attracts more and more companies to participate in Fashion Week every year. This time, on fourteen catwalks, new autumn-winter collections of 2009 from designers from 23 countries were presented.
It should also be mentioned that along with the fashion shows that take place at Hong Kong Fashion Week, there is also an industrial exhibition and fair. It is one of the most famous and popular specialized trade fairs in China. Everyone who visited the exhibition got acquainted with fashion trends and the latest collections from leading manufacturers, because a huge number of sales representatives and manufacturers from all over the world presented their products.
Customers were offered the best examples of haute couture, sharp-fashionable accessories - hats, shoes, bags and scarves, as well as clothes for newborns and children, a wide selection of fabrics made of cotton, linen, wool, sewing and thread was offered. For four days of work, the exhibition was visited by about 23,700 buyers from 100 countries and regions of the world.
Simultaneously with Hong Kong Fashion Week, HKTDC World Boutique is held, Hong Kong 2009 - Asia's first exhibition of collections of young designers and famous world brands.
