More than 1,200 ice figures sit on the steps of the Instituto degli Innocenti in Florence, Italy. The ice men sit quietly under the bright rays of the sun, while the sun slowly kills them.
The silhouettes of people, created by the Brazilian sculptor Nele Azevedo, will live only a few hours before disappearing forever, becoming water.
The ice is melting. It's simple, and at the same time it is one of the most fundamental questions of our time. The installation of ice men metaphorically speaks of the problem of melting glaciers. The talented Brazilian sculptor Nele Azevedo has created a beautiful installation called Monumento Minimo, showing a huge number of figurines skillfully carved from ice. Little people sit in thought while the midday heat slowly but surely destroys their bodies. The installation lasts until the life of the last figurine is extinguished. It is very touching and melancholy to watch how the shape of the mini-statues gradually changes and how one by one the ice men disappear.
The art show of Nele Azevedo has been shown in many cities around the world to draw attention to the issue of global warming.

What ancient Viking artifacts discovered on a melting glacier told archaeologists
Global warming and abnormal heat have caused glaciers to melt in many Scandinavian countries. The hot summer sun melted the ice on the Lomseggen mountain range and revealed a long-lost mountain pass that was used as far back as the Viking Age. This was the path that connected the Beverdalen and Ottadalen valleys. On this route, thanks to the melted glacier, archaeologists have discovered priceless artifacts of an ancient civilization dating back to the 5th century
Entropy and decadence: melting wax sculptures by Tatiana Blass
The work of Tatiana Blass is multifaceted and unusual. Many people feel uneasy from contemplating several mystical installations of the artist, in which the physical state of objects seems to be relegated to the background, while the invisible and intangible comes to the fore
Global warming. Melting animals in Takeshi Kawano's art project
The fauna may soon disappear the way a ball of ice cream disappears in hot coffee, and an ice cube disappears in a glass of whiskey. Global warming is not the invention of British scientists, and it is not just scientists who are worried about our common future. Thus, the Japanese sculptor Takeshi Kawano approached this problem creatively. He dedicated a small but emotional author's installation to her called Melting Animals

Melting house in Paris
A few years ago, guests and residents of Paris, finding themselves on Avenue George V, found themselves in a very difficult situation: before their eyes appeared a house, the appearance of which did not fit into any usual framework. Uneven walls, blurry windows, indistinct shapes … It feels like the house is slowly melting in the sun! What is this - the last word of modern architecture or just a mirage? However, curious viewers did not have to puzzle for a long time: to find out the answer, it was enough only to
