Just like beadwork and handicrafts made of polymer clay, so today the attention of all needlewomen, both small and large, has taken possession of the art of felting - felting toys, jewelry and accessories from wool. Especially skilful "fellers" sell their works on the Internet through contact groups, on Facebook or in the online stores Etsy. There, on Etsy, you can also see funny colorful monsters from the artist known as Moxie … But be careful, these colorful woolen creatures are very, very hungry! "Art is my oxygen, and people make me happy," Moxie says about himself in all seriousness. And she certainly wants to believe, because people can lie - but not art. And even though the Hungry Series toy monsters are hungry and dangerous, you can't look at them without a smile. They are very cool at the craftswoman, a bit like the good characters from "Monsters, Inc." And the fact that "human" arms, legs, and sometimes heads stick out of the mouth of these woolen babies - the strongest survives:)
True, Moxie is not as bloodthirsty as it might seem at first glance. The cute little monsters from her collections aren't always that aggressive. So, some of them sit in jars and glass cases, like rare outlandish butterflies, others play the role of keychains and decorations for bags and jackets, in general, they are engaged in very useful things, delighting both the author himself and those who admire her work.
Over the years of practicing felting, Moxie has matured to writing a book on the subject, the art of felting wool. She conducted a lot of master classes and participated in art exhibitions of handmade felt sculptures and jewelry. A girl lives and works in Seattle, and you can see what she can do on her website.
