The Sao Paulo choreographer Peterson da Cruz Hora founded his first dance group in 2000 in Brazil. But after he moved to Austria in 2009, he decided to create a team there, but with local dancers. And the first performance of the Austrian team took place in 2011 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The choreography of "Zurcaroh" is really unique - it is dances combined with circus numbers. The dancers, it seems, without much difficulty, like acrobats, perform the trapeze, somersaults and other exercises that are rarely found in dance numbers. Today there are 48 people in the troupe
Zurcaroh has won top prizes at talent shows in the US and France, and in 2015 the gold cup at the World Gymnaestrada show, which is held in Helsinki every four years.
