“There are people who have the innate ability to create spectacular spectacle - it's something that cannot be taught,” said a professor at Fred Dolan Art Academy of illustrations by Nazaury Delgado, an ordinary 19-year-old from the Bronx. And even though Nazariy has not yet become a world-class star, and his works are not estimated in thousands of dollars, for some reason it seems that he will definitely have all this. However, get acquainted with its history and judge for yourself.
The story of Nazarius Delgado began not at all as optimistic as one might imagine. When the boy was eleven years old, his father died of a drug overdose. Most likely, Nazariy was destined for the same fate: he contacted bad company, repeatedly had trouble with the police and very often skipped school. To break out of the vicious circle, he was helped by Sunday classes that teachers from Fred Dolan Art Academy taught for disadvantaged teenagers.
Once Nazariy showed the teacher some of his works, made using Photoshop on his home computer. A few minutes later, all the teachers who were at the school at that time were looking at these illustrations, and they could not believe that the impeccable work was done by one of their so-called "dysfunctional" students. This recognition of his talent played a decisive role in the life of Nazarius. “I decided to become a different person and change my attitude to life,” says our hero.
Nazariy often works on his old computer at night, turning ordinary, unremarkable portraits into bright and spectacular illustrations. It takes twenty to fifty original images to get the final result.
With the support of teachers who helped Nazariy prepare all the necessary documents, this year he was enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology. And although this guy from the Bronx still has a lot of unresolved problems (in particular, he doesn't even have anything to buy himself a new computer for work), for some reason it is believed that everything will be fine with him. After all, he has talent and a great desire to change his life for the better, which means that no matter what other troubles fate has prepared for him, he will cope.
