Emily Flint is a Lynchburg, Virginia-based painter who draws inspiration from the natural life that springs from the banks of the James River and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her female portraits are made with acrylic paints and graphite on birch boards. The light texture of these materials leaves visible the outlines of the wood rings, which become an interesting addition to the background of the painting.
Along with human figures, insects and their hives play an important compositional role in the artist's paintings. One of the recurring motifs in her painting is bees crawling along individual light-colored curls. In other paintings, hornets' nests can be found hiding in the intricate high hairstyles of the characters. Flint also has more surreal stories. For example, in one of the images, two women in mirrored poses touch their heads like Siamese twins, and bees crawl over their skin and hair.
Emily Flint's interest in bees is shared by Canadian artist Aganetha Dyck, who uses live bees to create delicate art objects using porcelain figurines, shoes, sports equipment and other household items.

Why did an Italian designer provocateur create a chair in the shape of a female body, and Why did he advocate "female thinking"
The armchair in the shape of a woman's body, created by Italian designer Gaetano Pesce, has been reproduced and copied hundreds of times, without thinking about the meaning of the designer himself. Brawler and provocateur, Pesce always knew how to tell sad stories in the most extravagant way, declared that "masculine thinking" is unacceptable in modern design, and architecture should be pleasant … to touch
