Motherland Chronicles Project ("Chronicles of the Motherland") is a joint "brainchild" of two talented contemporary masters: the photographer Zhang jingna (a girl often signs her work with the pseudonym zemotion) from New York and an illustrator Tobias kwan (tobiee) from California. They have created a whole gallery of gorgeous female images, each of which is unique and born of the bold imagination of the authors.
A passion for experimentation is one of the main characteristics of contemporary art. Some artists even arrange "long-distance races", organize projects in the framework of which they create various art objects on a daily basis. Someone draws humorous pictures, someone takes photographs, and someone even tries to create whole art projects, including original installations. These 365-day art marathons became the impetus for the creation of the “Motherland Chronicles” photo cycle.
True, photographer Zhang Jingna realistically evaluates his capabilities and understands that it takes time to prepare quality work. Therefore, the duo set a less rigid framework for themselves: each new photo is the result of weekly experiments. After all, you need to think over the concept of the image, find a model, choose an outfit, do not forget about hairstyles and makeup … The artists have no thematic limitation. The main rule is to say no! everything that is corny and predictable. Although it is obvious that all photographs are united by a love of surrealism.
So far, Zhang Jingna and Tobias Kwan are doing an excellent job with the task, so it is quite possible that by the time the project ends, we will see a wonderful illustrated edition, which will contain a whole collection of original female portraits.

Romantic female portraits by a Moscow artist who combined French Art Nouveau and Russian Realism
Fascinating, sentimental, romantic, sensual, graceful, magical, fabulous, divine, incomprehensible, mysterious, enchanting, mysterious … and this is not the whole list of epithets that can be said to the heroines of paintings by the Moscow artist Vladimir Mukhin. Only an inspired male artist was able to see and so masterfully create in color all of the above qualities of the portrayed women woven together in color
Why did an Italian designer provocateur create a chair in the shape of a female body, and Why did he advocate "female thinking"
The armchair in the shape of a woman's body, created by Italian designer Gaetano Pesce, has been reproduced and copied hundreds of times, without thinking about the meaning of the designer himself. Brawler and provocateur, Pesce always knew how to tell sad stories in the most extravagant way, declared that "masculine thinking" is unacceptable in modern design, and architecture should be pleasant … to touch
Surreal female portraits by Emily Flint
Emily Flint is a Lynchburg, Virginia-based painter who draws inspiration from the natural life that springs from the banks of the James River and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her female portraits are made with acrylic paints and graphite on birch boards. The light texture of these materials leaves visible the outlines of the wood rings, which become an interesting addition to the background of the painting
Bizarre surreal female images in ambiguous paintings with meaning
Perhaps Tolstoy himself or Flaubert would have willingly agreed to decorate the book pages of their works with drawings of the Italian artist Daria Petrilli, who loves to create bizarrely surreal female images of the Victorian era, where the standard of beauty was fair skin, wasp waist and elaborate outfits that brought men crazy
