Herr Scheepers believes that mistakes when working with ceramics are a common thing and they must be present in the work as an indispensable element, otherwise the whole point of working with your hands is lost. Ideal elements can also be created by robotic arms; it is another matter that even a robot programmed to make mistakes cannot do the job as well as a human. Dick thought for a long time about whether to expose his works to the public or not, as he feared denial from the evaluators, but acting on the principle of "quantity is better than quality" he won a lot and received top marks both in his academy and among the public …
