37 years ago Stanislav Govorukhin made a film based on the novel by Mark Twain, which became a classic of Soviet cinema for children. "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn" opened the way to big cinema for young actors who played the main roles - Fyodor Stukov, Vladislav Galkin and Maria Mironova. Many viewers who later became their fans did not even suspect that their film career began with this film. As well as the fact that they could see Igor Sorin in the lead role - the same one from Ivanushki International - who, as a result, got the cameo role of Joe Harper.
Fedya Stukov got into the cinema quite by accident: he was traveling with his mother on the bus when a woman approached them, who turned out to be an employee of the M. Gorky film studio. She offered to send the boy's profile - with such a bright appearance, he had every chance of getting into the cinema. And soon he received an invitation to play in Nikita Mikhalkov's film "A few days in the life of II Oblomov." And in the comedy "Kinsfolk" he reincarnated as a girl Irishka. But the whole country remembered him for the role of Tom Sawyer, in which he looked the most organic. Stukov recalled: "".
After that, he starred in Treasure Island and Pippi Longstocking, and several more cameo roles in children's films. It seemed that the charismatic boy was provided with a brilliant future in the acting profession. However, he realized his talents in another industry. After graduating from the Shchukin School, Stukov left for Germany, where he played in the play "Anthony and Cleopatra", and upon returning to Russia he became a TV presenter and director. He hosted the programs "Lego-Go!", "Up to 16 and Older", "World Pranks", was the director of the reality show "Behind the Glass", "Everything for You", "Checked on Myself", as well as the TV series "Eighties", "Fizruk" and "Philfak".
The role of Huckleberry Finn became the film debut of Vladislav Galkin. His parents were actors and did not want their son to follow in their footsteps. Vladislav said: "".
After leaving school, he entered the Shchukin School, where he studied for two years on the same course with Fyodor Stukov, and then moved to the VGIK at the directing department. In his filmography a large number of successful works: "Truckers", "In August 44th", "Voroshilovsky shooter", "The Master and Margarita", "Kotovsky". In 2009 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia. Unfortunately, at the peak of popularity, the actor's life was tragically cut short: in 2010, he died of acute heart failure.
The debut in this film was the role of Becky Thatcher for 7-year-old Masha Mironova - the continuer of the famous acting dynasty, daughter of Andrei Mironov. From the first experience of filming, the young actress was not happy: they filmed in 40-degree heat, they had to work 12 hours a day, and sometimes at night. In addition, Indian Joe, played by Talgat Nigmatulin, terrified her. But despite all the inconveniences, she brilliantly coped with the task, for which she received the nickname "little soldier" from the director. Subsequently, she became a famous actress, whose popularity was brought about by roles in the films "The Wedding", "The State Counselor", "Swing" and others.
The main role in the film was originally supposed to go to Igor Sorin. Before filming, director Stanislav Govorukhin announced an all-Union competition for the role of Tom Sawyer, in which hundreds of boys took part. The winner was Igor Sorin. However, on the advice of Nikita Mikhalkov, the director, a few days before the start of filming, changed his mind and approved Fedya Stukov for the role. Igor was very worried about this, but still did not stay idle - he played in Joe Harper's film (in the credits it is indicated as Igor Rayberg - this is his real name).
After school, Igor Sorin graduated from the Gnessin School, performed on the theater stage and participated in the musical "Metro". And in 1995-1998. was the soloist of the group "Ivanushki International". In September 1998, his life was cut short - Igor Sorin threw himself from the balcony of the apartment where the music studio was located. The singer's acquaintances said that prolonged depression became the cause of the suicide. Other versions included an accident, drug addiction, and even premeditated murder. However, the official version is still considered suicide.
A whole galaxy of famous Soviet actors starred in Govorukhin's film, whose film career after that continued with dozens of successful works: Ekaterina Vasilyeva, Vladimir Konkin, Talgat Nigmatulin, Rolan Bykov, Viktor Pavlov, Lev Perfilov.
The fates of child actors were often tragic: 5 movie idols of Soviet teenagers who passed away too early.
