45 years ago, in 1975, the premiere of the fairy-tale film "New Year's Adventures of Masha and Viti" took place, since then more than one generation of children has grown up on it, and it still remains one of the best New Year's fairy tales. This film was one of the first in which the audience saw Mikhail Boyarsky, and he himself remembered the shooting for the "family atmosphere" - he filmed with his uncle. After that, his film career took off. But the schoolchildren who played the main roles did not become actors. What they do and what they look like now - further in the review.
Igor Usov's film was not at all like those children's fairy tales that were filmed before him: Baba Yaga in a miniskirt, Matvey the Cat in frayed jeans, rock music performed by the Wild Guitars ensemble - all this looked revolutionary at that time. Mikhail Boyarsky starred in his own jeans - only the top of the costumes were taken at Lenfilm. Twice in the film, his hero, the wild Cat Matvey, calls Koshchei uncle - and this was actually the case, because the role of Koshchei was played by Nikolai Boyarsky, known to the audience as a physical education teacher from "Adventures of Electronics" and Adam Kozlevich from "The Golden Calf".
Mikhail Boyarsky always remembered this work with special warmth: "".
Initially, the director saw the popular comedian Alexei Smirnov in the role of Matvey the Cat, but he refused to shoot. And then Georgy Shtil offered to invite his friend's brother, Mikhail Boyarsky, to this role. The decisive argument in his favor was his musical education and … a black mustache! And Georgy Shtil himself got the role of Leshy, after which the love of small spectators fell upon him. "Uncle Leshim" he was called not only by the main characters on the set, but also by young fans on the streets.
Baba Yaga performed by Valentina Kosobutskaya is called the most charming and feminine of all who appeared on the screens. Usually this role went to actresses in adulthood, or even to men (Georgy Millyar was called the "honored Baba Yaga" of Soviet cinema), and Mikhail Boyarsky's classmate Valentina Kosobutskaya became the youngest and most playful villain who sported a mini-skirt and curlers in hair. True, she all the time seemed to attract misfortune to herself - when she appeared, the lights on the set went out, everything fell out of the cameramen's hands, the "clapperboard" disappeared, and once Leshy was electrocuted. Therefore, when preparing the stunts, they tried to keep the actress away.
The main roles went to Yura Nakhratov and Natasha Simonova. As it turned out, they had known each other even before filming - they became friends while on vacation in Pavlovsk, where their families traveled. Yura starred in children's films before that, and for Natasha this role became her debut. True, both of them never became actors, and both had 4 jobs left in their filmography at school age. But they remembered their "New Year's Adventures" for the rest of their lives. “, - said Yura. - ". This was the end of Yuri Nakhratov's film career - after graduating from school, he entered the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute, and then got a job as a manager in a computer company.
For Natasha Simonova, the film director replaced her father. "", - the young actress admitted. He even planned the premiere of the film for her birthday - December 25th. After filming, they maintained a relationship until the director's death in 1990, it was Igor Usov who took her to a circle at the Hermitage and gave her a recommendation to enter a prestigious literary studio.
After the premiere of the film, Natalia Simonova was inundated with letters from young fans. Many years later, one of them confessed to her that he was in love with her as a child and would never have married if he knew that one day he would meet her. For some time, Natasha dreamed of continuing her acting career and after school entered the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinema, but quickly realized that this was not her calling, and transferred to the Faculty of Philosophy. And she never regretted it - because there she met her future husband.
Irina Borisova, who played the Snow Maiden in the fairy tale, did not continue her acting career. This role was one of the last in her filmography. In 1976 she graduated from the All-Union Correspondence Law Institute and after 1977 she did not act in films anymore.
Nikolai Boyarsky was not the only Soviet actor who reincarnated as Koshchei: Which of the actors became the most terrible fairy tale villain.
