For this reason, Tsyplakova, Proklova, Alferova, Vavilova, Udovichenko, Belokhvostikova, Koreneva were rejected. But Alexandra Yakovleva successfully coped with one image and another. True, it seemed to the entire film crew that she was more convincing in the role of a witch - the actress spent hours making up, scandalous and capricious. Because of this, Gaft refused to act in common scenes with her - they were then connected during editing. In 1993, at the peak of her fame, Yakovleva decided to leave the cinema - she took up social and political activities, became the vice-mayor of Kaliningrad, then held a managerial position at Pulkovo airport and Russian Railways, headed the Prigorodnaya railway company in Kaliningrad. In 2016, she reappeared on the theater stage and played in the remake of the film "The Crew".
The audience could see Natalia Gundareva, Alisa Freindlich and Margarita Terekhova in the role of the director of NUIN Shemakhanskaya. However, Gundareva did not look paired with Zolotukhin, and Freundlich was too busy in other projects. Bromberg said: "". Ekaterina Vasilieva continued to act in films until the early 1990s, until she became a novice in one of the Moscow churches and its treasurer. The actor played about 200 roles in theater and cinema, but after the tragedy in the family - the suicide of his daughter in 2002 - he hardly appeared on the screens.
Many actors also auditioned for the roles of Kovrov and Bryl - instead of Vitorgan, we could see Mironov, Burkov or Shirvindt, and instead of Svetin - Nikulin, Kharitonov or Boyarsky. But when the director saw how Vitorgan and Svetin rehearsed together before the auditions, this couple seemed so funny to him that the choice was on them. Emmanuel Vitorgan still acts in films and performs on the stage of the theater, and Mikhail Svetin passed away in 2015. Unfortunately, there is no wonderful actor Semyon Farada among the living, thanks to whose improvisations the episodic role became one of the most notable in "The Wizards" … After a serious and prolonged illness, the actor died in 2009.
The first and last film work was the role of Nina Pukhova, Ivanushka's sister, for 8-year-old Anna Ashimova.
