The food should be appetite-appealing. This is an indisputable fact. But should works of art look delicious? The sculptor Seung Yul Oh is sure that this is how it should be. And so that opinion does not disagree with the case, he created a unique collection of noodles that cannot be eaten.
And the point is not at all that the dish is expensive. The simple material for its creation is silicone, epoxy, steel and aluminum. Although outwardly, the famous Korean noodles look very appetizing, and nothing indicates the presence of metal or silicone in the plate. There are pluses here, though. Unlike a real dish, such noodles do not spoil at all and can stand for an eternity. True, it will not be able to feed anyone, but this is a work of art, not a culinary masterpiece. Although it would be nice if all the noodle dishes looked as delicious as these exhibits.
Seung Yul Oh was born in Seoul (South Korea) and received his BA from the Elam School of Fine Arts University of Auckland (Australia). Today the artist works in both Auckland and Seoul, depending on which country he received the order in and which exhibition he has to work on. It is not difficult for him to travel from city to city, especially considering the fact that his works do not deteriorate. By the way, unlike his colleague, the artist Dan Cretu creates edible gadgets that can be eaten for breakfast or dinner. The main thing is to make sure they are fresh.
