Yes, you really know them. Moreover, every day you have to "communicate" - with some more and more often, with others less and less often, but nevertheless, they will not surprise you when you meet again. But be careful if the next meeting takes place at an exhibition of sculptures by a Spanish sculptor Romulo Celdran … Romulo is famous for his ability to create hyper-realistic sculptures, and his art project called Macro … A double, if it is, of course, not your twin, is a transcendental creature, incomprehensible, sometimes even frightening. Where did it come from, and, in fact, why, if there is already one of the same in the world? These questions can be asked both to hyperrealist artists and sculptors, authors of hyper-realistic works: why create something that already exists in nature in a form that is understandable and familiar to us? Romulo Keldran believes that this is not an imitation at all, but the author's vision of reality. Moreover, he is sure that everything in this world is real - even what seems abstract. It would seem that abstract paintings are just a collection of spots, lines and geometric shapes. But isn't what we see around us consists of these details?
But this is about the pictures. Huge household items, as if magnified by the wave of the magic wand of a mad sorcerer - that's what Romulo Keldran creates. Matches and gloves, sponges and caps, tubes and clothespins, in general, everything that can be found in the closet of each of us. In one bottle, both "hyper", given the size of the work, and "realism", because they all seem real, "alive", but alas, these are just painted plastic, wood and cardboard. "Only".
However, in addition to realistic sculptures, the author paints the same pictures in black and white. This series is called Zoom, and you can see it and other projects of the author on the website of Romulo Celdran
