Perhaps, gummy bears we will not limit ourselves, will we? For more than ten years, the Italian designer Maurizio Savini has been creating in a very extraordinary style. He creates sculptures with mostly pink chewing gum!
Undoubtedly, this kind of art is extremely unusual and even strange, but that is why it is even more interesting. This is not a brush on the canvas for you to drive! Among all his creations, you don't even know which one to highlight. Of course, the buffalo and grizzly bear seem very textured, but other works are just amazing. Almost all of the sculptures have been shown in exhibitions around the world, and some have even sold for an approximate price of 55,000 USD. More recently, an exhibition was held at the Testori Gallery in London, UK.
The author himself explains his passion as follows: "I use chewing gum because this material seems to me amazingly versatile, compared to such a traditional art form as painting." Well, we can only agree with the sculptor. Moreover, his work turns out to be extremely great!
True, the question still torments me. Even if people buy these sculptures at exorbitant prices, then what do they do with them? Are they chewing? …
