On September 20, an exhibition of Nikas Safronov will open in Moscow, which will be named "Other Worlds"; it will become the first multimedia exhibition of this master. It will end on January 19, 2020. The State Central Museum of the History of Russia was chosen as the venue. The press service of the exhibition told about this the other day.
In the message, special attention is paid to the fact that this exhibition will be the first in which the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation decided to present his works not only on canvas, that is, in the classical version, but also with the use of innovative technologies.
The exhibition will feature close to 100 graphic and painting works that were created by Safronov in the period from the late 90s of the XX century to the current 2019. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see his works in different genres: subject surrealistic compositions, still lifes, landscapes, portraits. The organizers said that visitors will be able to get acquainted with the works in the style of dream vision, which is considered the author's style of this artist.
The artist himself, talking about the exhibition "Other Worlds", called its main advantage that it was possible to include in it those works that have long been sold, donated, and therefore are now kept in private collections. For several years now, no major exhibitions of the artist have been held in Moscow. This time he wants the exhibition to be attended by fans of his art who are unfamiliar with him and disagree with Safronov's works, because, according to the author of the works, there should always be a discussion in art.
The organizers decided to arrange the Other Worlds exhibition in such a way that it had neither beginning nor end. Visitors to this event will become participants in the whirlpool of pictures, images and thoughts of Nikas Safronov, which is not interrupted.
Nikas Safronov began his creative activity in 1973. He is an academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, he bears the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Most of his works are kept in private collections, as well as in major museums in the countries of the European Union and Russia. Admirers of this artist's work are Tina Turner, Nikita Mikhalkov, Alla Pugacheva, Mick Jagger, Madonna and other famous personalities.
