Not so long ago on the site Kulturologiya. Ru we talked about the surrealist illustrations by Alexei Andreev. The aesthetics of Artem Chebokhi's works are close to the “separate reality” invented by the famous St. Petersburg artist. Both masters are not indifferent to nature and … digital technologies. Despite the fact that most of Artyom's paintings look like they were painted in oil, in fact, they are the result of skillful use of Photoshop. It is hard to believe, of course, but the artist prefers not to reveal his secrets.
Although Artem Chebokha began his career quite traditionally - he painted with gouache and oil. I was honing my skills, looking for my own style. He drew inspiration from science fiction and fantasy films: at first he raved about Star Wars, later - the Lord of the Rings. In addition, as a child, Artyom was seriously fond of astronomy, even made telescopes, perhaps hence the addiction to the image of the sky.
Artem Chebokha was born in the Omsk region, was educated at the Omsk art-industrial college. He had a passion for drawing since childhood, but he took up art in earnest after the army. A talented artist does not participate in competitions in principle, since he believes that it is impossible to create paintings “for a while”, because everything must come from the heart. His wonderful work is a direct confirmation of this.
