Vancouver residents came to the main squares of the city in thousands and … take away … Such a simple, logical, but such a rare move! With thousands of shovels and brooms, ordinary townspeople swept the streets strewn with glass and rubbish; thousands of hands cleaned the walls of graffiti, and thousands of stickers pasted over police cars, expressing gratitude to them for protecting public order in such harsh conditions.
The volunteers also decorated special shields with friendly inscriptions, hearts and graffiti. The local museum will take these shields to itself when they stand on the streets - and they will remain the only memory of the vandals, because Vancouver regained its former appearance in a few days. Perhaps it was the most helpful and sincere "flash mob" in the history of Vancouver and hockey.
