Otto Bjornik (Otto Bjornik) is not just an illustrator. He is a true storyteller. And although each of his works is a whole story, filled with many complex and bizarre details, all of them are united by one simple and understandable thing: the smile of the heroes, from which it becomes warmer and brighter in the soul.
Otto Bjornik's stories are a rich mixture of precious childhood memories and fairy tales. The artist weaves the lines together, glorifying the beauty and elegance of natural and human forms in each of his drawings. And besides this, he adds to each image some bizarre elements that evoke associations with happy moments from childhood. “This way I prolong my youth - with a wink and endless joy,” says Otto Bjornik.
An architect by training, Otto Bjornik fills his ink drawings with intricate details and follows strict design guidelines. The elements that the artist chooses very often carry a symbolic meaning, and the author tries to combine them into an intricate puzzle that reveals the whole story. By the way, about stories - this is not a metaphor at all. Open any image from portfolio artist, and next to him you will read a whole story about this hero and his fate.
“I've already drawn millions of lines as an artist and told many stories - from my opening scenes for one of the Yahoo! to more experimental works that won international competitions and were shown at exhibitions. But I still have the feeling that I have to tell people many more stories and draw more than one million lines,”Otto Bjornik sums up.
