But there are always those who are sure that discoveries are still possible. As a rule, they have their own theories about what remained hidden from the eyes of biographers.

Supporters of the version point to several events that such a view can connect. After the lyceum, Pushkin was appointed to the Collegium of Foreign Affairs as a translator with the rank of collegiate secretary with a salary of 700 rubles a year. As you know, the Collegium of Foreign Affairs dealt, among other things, with matters of foreign intelligence. The immediate superior of the poet was Kapodistrias, in whose special jurisdiction were relations between Russia and the eastern countries, including the Ottoman Empire.

Arriving at his duty station in Chisinau - Moldovan land has traditionally been the intersection of the interests of Russia and Turkey - he behaves in a very unusual way. One of the witnesses recalls that the poet constantly disguised himself as a Turk, a Moldovan, a Jew, or a Serb. Not for the sake of attending a masquerade - in this form he left somewhere, and walked a lot. Isn't that how the scouts behave?

Despite the anti-Masonic oath, which everyone took, I entered the civil service, Pushkin joined the Masonic lodge in Chisinau. Was it a protest against any coercion or the introduction of your agent?

In 1831, the year of his marriage, Pushkin, who had long since retired, asked to take him back to the service. That is why he wrote "Journey from Moscow to St. Petersburg", and several patriotic poems.

Supporters of this version are sure that Dantes removed Pushkin as an assignment as well - as an employee of the intelligence service hostile to Russia, most likely Dutch. True, it is not clear why, before that, marry his cousin, his wife's sister, and then listen to reproaches from his own children all his life - how you supposedly killed Pushkin! Our brilliant uncle!

It is also unclear something else - how such a valuable intelligence worker that had to be removed, received so little that he could not deal with debts and Natalya Pushkina had to ask her brother for money.

There are many supporters of the version that Dantes did not kill Pushkin at all and that the duel with the funeral was played out to hide Pushkin's escape from creditors abroad. The poet was so mired in debt that he did not find any other way to solve the problem, how to throw his debts on the widow in the hope that she would somehow figure it out. Moreover, in the end they were paid for by the sovereign.

Where did Pushkin go? After his "death", a new literary star, Alexandre Dumas, entered France. An approximate age of the Russian poet, very similar to him in appearance and also a half-breed with an admixture of African blood. So, there are people who believe that Dumas is Pushkin and is. In addition to appearance and literary talent, supporters of the version point to two more, as it seems to them, important coincidences: both were women walkers and both did not like mathematics. Probably rare qualities.

Here are some more arguments. Pushkin died for so long that he managed to send a request to the tsar to say a farewell word, and died only after the tsar promised to pay off his debts and take care of the children. They buried Pushkin in a closed coffin (why?), People were shown one place of the funeral service - and the funeral service was performed in another, secretly. Moreover, Nicholas I himself personally forbade opening the coffin, as if he knew that there was no Pushkin there.

Alexandre Dumas first appeared in the world in 1922. At that time, no one saw Pushkin in the light in Russia - he seemed to live in the south. In 1832, shortly after Pushkin's marriage, French newspapers write that young Dumas died - was not Pushkin going to forget about France, since he now has a family in Russia? Finally, before the death of Pushkin, Dumas was barely known and occasionally wrote small things. But then it broke through: novel after novel, and all the hits. What was this talent spent on before? By the way, from childhood, Pushkin knew French better than Russian.

Arouses Dumas' suspicion and interest in Russia. He wrote a novel about the Decembrist uprising - although, officially, he had never seen Russia; translated into French works of Pushkin and other Russian writers. In Russia, meanwhile, Nicholas I banned the works of Dumas in the same way as he had previously banned a number of Pushkin's masterpieces. Despite his interest in the country, Dumas visited Russia only when he became old and fat. What was in the way before?

Finally, some people combine the two versions and believe that there, abroad, Pushkin-Dumas carried out secret orders of the Russian tsar. And his beloved wife Natalya … Maybe she really cheated on him, and he lost interest in her. And to your four children.

Pushkin was killed by gays

The oldest of the conspiracy theories dates back to the twentieth century. According to her, Dantes did not try to eliminate the talented Russian intelligence officer and did not play along with the poet, who was going to leave for France. He served as a pawn in the game of high-ranking sodomites who took revenge on Pushkin for exposing their Sodom passions and hinting at their plans to seize power in Russia.

At the same time, the organizer of the murder is called Uvarov, one of the victims of Pushkin's ridicule - his lover Dondukov-Korsakov, the author of the letter that pushed the poet to a duel - Prince Dolgorukov. And, although in this situation the last who are to blame are Dantes and his lover Heeckeren - the second tried to prevent a duel and rushed the wounded Pushkin into the city in his carriage, the first simply accepted the challenge - they are also cursed as participants in the conspiracy.

The poet died and was unable to stop the seizure of key positions by gay men in Russia. True, what this seizure was expressed in and why it was so insidious, if you take into account, is not specified.

The problem with all theories is that most of the participants in the event kept diaries and active correspondence. Supporters of alternative versions of Pushkin's biography, as a rule, know the texts of these diaries and letters fragmentarily, from quotes from biographical articles. One can, for example, imagine that Pushkin was actively lying about his activities and feelings as a scout (although it would have been easier just to keep notes not too diligently), but what were practically everyone around him playing along? Sounds weird.

In any case, over Dantes forever hung Pushkin's shadow: the fate of the descendants of Georges Dantes because of this, it is peculiar.
