Fashion is just a process of changing masks. This is the opinion of the photographer Frederique Daubal. This is what his series of works called Hide and Seek is dedicated to.
Federic Dubal claims that a person who buys some fashionable clothes he sees in a magazine is actually putting on someone else's guise. He puts on the mask of a model from a magazine. He wants to be her, to look like her. That is, fashion is just a mimicry for more successful, more beautiful people. And, thus, hide yourself under these masks.
In order to illustrate this idea of his, Frederic Dubal created a series of photographs called "Hide and Seek". They depict girls in fashionable clothes. But the real faces of these girls are hidden under the masks of models who advertised these fashion items in glossy magazines.
Snakes shed their skin every season, and people shed their clothes. But snakes, unlike humans, do not hide their identity under the guise of other snakes.
