At first glance, it seems that in the photographs the scuba diver is exploring the depths of the underwater world. But if you take a closer look, you can see a tree, a bridge, and even a park bench. And this is not photoshop. In fact, these incredible images show a diver submerged in the Austrian Green Lake, which occurs once a year after a flood.
Located among the snowy Karst mountains, the Green Lake in Tragoess (Austria) is normally only one meter deep. Throughout most of the year, visitors to the park can take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque lagoon, enjoying the beautiful scenery on one of the benches located near the water's edge. But once a year the snow melts, and the lake overflows its shores, flooding everything around.
For as many as twelve meters, the water covers trees, footpaths, benches and bridges. The lake is expanding its area from 2000 to over 4000 square meters. Diving in Green Lake is only possible in the spring during the month. During the remaining time, the depth of the lake does not allow diving. But during a flood, the visibility in the lake is incredible, like in tropical seas.
Diver Mark Henauer from Switzerland, hearing about this natural phenomenon, came to Austria to explore the lake. The 39-year-old scuba diver shared his impressions after the dive: “When I was under water, I felt that I was in a magical world, it was so beautiful. Swimming over green grass, flowers, paths, rocks and trees was like a fairy tale. We were lucky, that at the time of the dive the sun came out and pierced the surface of the water. My wife and I stayed on the lake for seven days, doing three dives every day for 60 minutes. All photos were taken in natural light without flash. I am delighted with the result, because we had a lot of problems with rain, thunderstorm and wind."
By the way, not only park benches and paths can be under water, but also beautiful girls. The underwater world of the photographer Tomohide Ikeya with two-legged mermaids in the lead role is evidence of this.

How the names of trademarks became common nouns in Russian: Scuba, thermos, etc
Linguists believe that a new word can be considered "stuck" in any language if derivatives are created from it. From this point of view, the modern "xerox" or even "xeranut" pearls, which can be heard in any office, make the word derived from the name of the company "Xerox Corporation" a full-fledged member of the Russian language. In fact, it is more correct to call copiers "copiers", but after a couple of decades, perhaps they will forget about it, just like about phrases

Japan's creepiest park: 800 stone statues found in an abandoned recreation park
Welcome to the shivering Japanese countryside. Among the park overgrown with tall grass sit no less than 800 statues carved from stone. Each statue is a completely separate person, with their own clothes, facial features that are not similar to others, and all of them, as if alive, seem to be watching you. "I had the complete feeling that I accidentally got into some kind of forbidden zone. It is simply amazing," wrote a photographer who captured stone
Childish motives in the work of Mark Ryden (Mark Ryden)
Very often, many draw parallels between the work of the artist Mark Ryden (Mark Ryden) and the bizarre characters from the book "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. And Mark Ryden is flattered, because he considers himself a true fan of Carroll, and does not at all object to such a comparison
Stained Glass Park - a park of glass and color in Montreal
Parks and gardens are completely different. Sometimes, there is nothing in common between them! Let us compare at least an ordinary orchard with a Japanese rock garden. So in Montreal, the Stained Glass Park recently appeared, created by the studio Atomic3, which, despite its name, has little resemblance to the "traditional" park
