When around "Splinovski-plastic" life, treacherously want something sincere and real. For example, deserted streets, illuminated by the soft light of evening lights. Such as on photographs by London artist Andy Rudak … The only thing that confuses is the wild animals and birds that have appeared on the streets of London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. What is the photographer's secret?
It turns out that Andy Rudak managed to capture urban landscapes without leaving his studio. What viewers see in the photographs are by no means real cities, but a skillful dummy made of cardboard and wrapping paper. Work on creation cardboard cities was conducted for about a year, this is the first author's project of the photographer.
The absence of people in the photographs is, of course, part of a well-thought-out author's concept. Andy wanted to convey a state of peace and tranquility, people would be simply superfluous here. That is why animals became the main characters in each frame (the artist used life-size stuffed animals). A graceful roe deer, a cute hedgehog, a wise owl and a sly fox - all of them very harmoniously "blended" into the city pictures. One gets the impression that in the absence of people, they feel quite comfortable in an unfamiliar environment.
