Someone travels the world with a suitcase, someone with a backpack, someone with a baggage from their own knowledge, and an artist Kurt Perschke does it with a huge inflatable red balloon, turning it into a work of art upon arrival in another city.

Inflatable balls are different, depending on the person and his needs. The most common of them, the classic ones, can be seen at any holiday, especially for children. But there are also completely extraordinary versions of them, which either look like pieces of fresh meat, then make a sound, or even travel around the world, as does the red ball of Kurt Pershke within the framework of his art project RedBall Project.

The red ball is Kurt Perschke's best friend, with whom he traveled more than a dozen countries and more than one hundred cities. Coming to a new place, the artist first of all finds there a suitable place in which he could deploy his mobile installation.

Pershke sets up a huge inflatable red ball in completely unusual and seemingly inappropriate places for this - between houses on a narrow city street, in a gate or an arch, at the entrance to a building, between freestanding beams and other objects, as well as indoors - in this aspect, the author's imagination can be limitless.

Kurt Pershke says that the inhabitants of the cities where he comes, themselves suggest suitable places for him, and the artist answers them every time: "Why not!" It is these words, along with "What if?" can be considered the slogan of the RedBall Project, the goal of which is to transform absolutely any corner of our planet into an art space.

RedBall Project is the most famous art project of Kurt Perschke, for which he received the American National Arts Public Art Network award - one of the largest awards in the field of contemporary art. But the main addressees of these works are children, who happily perceive the huge red ball that suddenly appeared on the street of their city not as an art object, but as a giant toy.
