Within the framework of his project "Tree Spirits" American sculptor Keith Jennings carves on the trunks of trees wise and calm faces, which, he claims, belong to forest spirits. The artist sets himself the noble goal of establishing communication between people and wildlife.
The project "Tree Spirits" for over thirty years. The first work from this cycle Keith Jennings executed back in 1982, and the artist was prompted to create it by one very prosaic circumstance. As the sculptor himself says, on that momentous day he was sitting at home and simply toiled with boredom. Suddenly, he had the idea of going to the backyard, grabbing a couple of carpentry tools with him, and giving the old tree there a more attractive look.

The words Whale surely inspired the enthusiasts of the Zonenkinder group to create their ecological art projects.
It takes an artist from two to four days to complete one work. His tooling remains as simple as it was thirty years ago and consists of a few chisels and chisels.
New works Keith Jennings a series "Tree Spirits" were commissioned by the administration of the island of St. Simon, located off the coast of Georgia. It should be noted that labor Whale enjoys great respect among the population there. About ten years ago, with funds donated by the inhabitants of the island, the artist created a large-scale sculptural image of a whale, an inhabitant of local coastal waters.

Forest Spirit - Plant Spirit. Reflection of the God of Nature in the works of various authors
In Western furry culture (the art of depicting anthropomorphic animals) I have long observed one interesting tendency - some images created by one author become, as it were, the public domain, they are drawn by many. This could be called fan art, but fan art is usually created based on world famous works, and here they are just separate images created by a talented person and picked up by other talented authors. In this collection I want to introduce you to the spirit
