Boulevard Kurfürstendamm - one of the business cards Berlin … Huge shopping malls and stylish boutiques, luxurious restaurants and cozy cafes - there is everything for entertainment and shopping. Ahead of Christmas architecture and design agency "Brut Deluxe" made sure that the festive mood reigned on the famous boulevard: a large-scale festive installation … A sea of bright lights now illuminate the street.
The company, led by Ben Busche, delighted Berliners and visitors alike with three installations installed in different parts of the boulevard. One of them resembles a giant dome that seems to float in the air above Joachimstaler Platz. The second installation consists of five cubes, the edges of which are covered with abstract patterns. Hanging in the middle of the boulevard, they also attract the attention of passers-by. The third part of the project is luminous "threads" that from a distance resemble magic plants.
The goal of the project is to create a festive mood among the townspeople, to give people a sense of fun and joy. According to the organizers, most of us associate Christmas with magic, light and warmth, and this is what they tried to recreate with the help of abstract figures. I would like to believe that, in addition to the efforts of the Brut Deluxe company, nature will delight the inhabitants of Berlin with snow and light frost, so that the atmosphere is fully consistent with the New Year holidays.
By the way, on the site Kulturologiya. RF we have already written about another Christmas installation. Last year, 1024 Architecture Studio managed to create a wonderful Pixelated Christmas tree. As you can see, the scope for festive fantasies is simply endless, and designers around the world still have something to surprise us with!
