The contemporary artist Joo Seok Ju is the one who can rightfully be called a "dark horse". On the Internet there is neither his biography, nor a complete portfolio, nor information about past and upcoming exhibitions. But there is his extraordinary work. Warm, musical, mysterious.
The only thing that we managed to find out about the author's personality is that he lives in South Korea, in Seoul, works there, and prefers to do this exclusively with oil paints. Brought up, apparently on the work of the Impressionists, Joo Seok Ju uses the same techniques and the same color palette in his paintings, which makes them warm, light and pleasant. It seems that if such a musical painting appears on the wall in an apartment, the warmth and positiveness of this family will be provided for a long time.
Deliberately careless large strokes, which, nevertheless, add up to fairly neat and understandable plots, are a recognizable creative manner of the artist. His paintings cannot be confused with others, and this is exactly what the author can be proud of. And it may very well be that some of these paintings by a modern artist adorn the walls of private galleries of wealthy people not only in South Korea, but also in neighboring countries and beyond.
