So, someone processes clothes or furniture, someone processes plastic bottles and parts from broken computers, coffee makers and watches, and an American artist, acting under the pseudonym iRI5, works with old cassettes and reels.
The girl is 26 years old, she was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been fond of fine arts ever since she learned to hold chalk in her hands, and then a brush and paints. Over time, her main hobby became installations, for which the girl uses old cassette and reel tapes.
"Cassette Art" is an original iRI5 art project in which form dictates content. Therefore, from music tapes, the artist creates portraits of famous musicians, including Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Morrison, and Bob Dylan …
In addition to cassette art, iRI5 also professes the cult of "library creativity", where for its work it uses clippings from old and unnecessary (I hope) newspapers, magazines and books.
