Young Swedish photographer Karin Anna Henny Angstrom Ludwig boasts not only an unusually long name, but also serious works in which the girl analyzes the modern understanding of beauty and explores the problem of fetishizing the female body.
According to Karin, her work touches on several main topics, including the ideology of consumption, the fetishization of women's products and the female body, the "myth of beauty" that oppresses and suppresses women. “I explore these issues by creating my own visual representations of them and using my body in the golden latex fabric for this,” says the photographer.
The beauty myth that exists in modern society makes women all their lives to be dissatisfied with their appearance and chase the ideal. Does he exist, this ideal? Every day we see models without a single flaw in advertisements and glossy magazines and we strive to be like them. But if you think about it, these beautiful pictures hide starvation diets, plastic surgery, make-up, and finally, photo correction - and the model girls look more like dolls wrapped in gold gift wrapping than real women. Does everyone else have to become the same?
