In his miniatures, Kendal Murray recreates various scenes from the lives of ordinary people. True, quite standard situations occur in a rather strange environment: on the surface of a wallet, inside a teapot, or in an open mirror.
The scenes that Kendal Murray models for her little characters depict people in a variety of situations related to work and leisure: a couple in love kissing on the roof of a car, kids ice skating, a family goes on vacation in their car, a shepherd watches a herd of cows … Nothing supernatural, no fantasy. But, probably, because this skating rink is inside a small mirror, and the green grass grows right on the surface of the wallet, each work by Kendal Murray is perceived as an illustration to an incredible story, like an episode from a fairy tale. Sometimes humorous, sometimes melancholic and even disturbing, you want to look at these works with bated breath, so as not to accidentally interfere with the fragile inhabitants of the tiny world.
Kendal Murray lives and works in Australia. In 1995, the author graduated cum laude from the University of Western Sydney with an MA in Visual Arts. At the same university, Kendal now teaches, giving lectures on design. Exhibitions of the author's work are regularly held in major cities in Australia; many of Kendal Murray's works have found their place in the collections of Australian, Japanese and New Zealand collectors.

What remained behind the scenes of the film "Charlie's Angels": Why the heroines preferred single combats to weapons, for which they scolded Bill Murray and others
The premiere of a film about the adventures of detectives of the fair sex took place twenty years ago. Those "angels" coped with their task brilliantly: they managed to entertain the viewer, to remind that the role of a woman is not limited to providing home comfort and to involve numerous characters performed by famous actors in the cycle of events. This recipe rarely works, but in the case of "Charlie's Angels" everything worked out

Baroque in Fantasy Art: Paintings by Sean Murray
Some people think that fantasy is something low-quality, or something childish (and this is even worse for adult serious moles of people). It may be so, but in any case, fantasy is a new art that reflects the worldview of a modern person. And everything new is well forgotten old. And in the paintings of Sean Murray, the famous modern fantasy illustrator, something elusively familiar slips through … Bah! Yes, this is the good old art of the Baroque
