We have already mentioned more than once about a variety of products made from Lego constructors. For example, here is one, and here is the second, however, none of them said about … a musical instrument from Lego! It turns out that designers can do that too.

In our case, the cello was taken as an example. Designer Nathan Sawaya has been fond of this kind of art for a long time, since 2002. He works in a studio in New York, and during his career he came into contact with more than 1.5 million colorful cubes! He is a freelance artist, that is, companies, private clients can send him their orders, and he will fulfill them with pleasure. Moreover, the artist writes that he is ready to consider the idea of absolutely any person, if only it was interesting and entertaining. He is also involved in the "construction" of figurines for photo shoots, shows, meetings and presentations. With his tours, the artist traveled almost all over North America, showing his work in various museums in the country.

“My work is very important to me,” says the artist. - They reflect my growth, my improvement as an artist, how I try to discover my personality. Exhibitions in museums are available to absolutely everyone, as they awaken the child in each of us. More information about the ongoing exhibitions can be found in a special section on the author's website.

This cello, on the other hand, is one example of how well a designer and artist works. He says that this Lego version of the cello completely copies the real one - both in size and design. However, this is also not all. In addition to being a beautiful example of Lego art, the cello is also playable! Of course, the sound differs for obvious reasons, but the fact itself cannot but amaze us. After all, such a copy of the artist's collection cannot be called useless and meaningless.

We also recommend watching a short video about how this musical instrument was created.
