Some are right when they say that designers sometimes create projects that cannot be called meaningless except. Indeed, well, is it possible to find a use for a bus made almost entirely of wood?
But let's not be surprised, such a sculpture belongs not to the hand of the designer, but of the artist, which makes it somewhat easier to understand what he saw. Artist Lee Stoetzel thought that a wooden bus could be much more useful than one that has a motor, a real steering wheel, and gas with a brake. All jokes, but at first it is not entirely clear why this copy of the Volkswagen bus was really created? And it would be okay if it was a toy, a model created for children. But no, the bus repeats its progenitor with accuracy - it is not a reduced, but a real copy of the bus. The artist himself says the following about his project: “We build houses and think that we are the rulers of the world, we control all things happening around us. However, nature dictates its own. I created this project in order to emphasize the power of all natural over artificial."
It is worth noting, however, that the artist used cypress wood and steel in his work, and if hardly anyone thinks about the latter, then conservationists will immediately exclaim that Lee destroyed more than one tree with his work. Was it worth it to try to draw attention to nature in this way and show that you put it above the achievements of science and technology? The goal is noble, but the execution … Be that as it may, it is interesting to look at the bus, because it looks like a real one, only it is not possible to see it driving - the wheels are also made of wood.

How a unique wooden church in Kondopoga that survived the Livonians, Finns and Bolsheviks died today
It should be said that at one time the Assumption Church in the Karelian Kondopoga, unlike many other monuments of Russian wooden architecture, was very lucky. In the terrible revolutionary years, it was not dismantled into logs, it was not converted into a club, into a 45-meter tower of the temple, which stood for a long time without a lightning rod and did not get hit by lightning. And who would have thought that the life of the temple, as it often happens with people, would end in our time and so unexpectedly
