By the way, John Kearney's career began with a banal "work": being an enthusiastic artist, he painted one of the outbuildings on his father's farm out of interest, and the neighbors liked this simple work so much that they wanted to get a similar decor for their household. John Kearney received a professional art education, and initially worked as a portrait painter. This is probably why his giant "Potemkin" sculptures made of cardboard look so realistic and real. However, before the artist found his vocation in this genre of contemporary art, he was engaged in wall painting on farms for a long time, first in his native Long Beach, then in the city of Salinas. And, by and large, John Kearney also owes his success to farmers: they ordered a series of giant realistic cardboard sculptures from the artist to decorate the fields along the highway and express gratitude and appreciation to the field workers.
The history of John Kearney as the author of cardboard sculptures in fields and gardens began with a dozen "trial" works. As expected, the first pancake did not come out lumpy, and subsequently the world was seen by many more "Potemkin" cardboard figures depicting life in the village, agricultural work and other pictures from the measured life of an American farmer.
