Video: Lost in New York: City Photos by Alfonso Zubyaga

Alfonso Zubyaga lives in Madrid, but photographs New York. Seeing big at a distance? Perhaps. City photographs of the Spaniard demonstrate the confusion of a guest of a huge metropolis. It seems that all this is not happening to you, but to someone else. Everything is noisy and moving, and even city photographs are defocused, as if the life of a metropolis does not freeze for a split second.
All of these city photos were taken a couple of years ago in downtown New York. And then art began. Alfonso Zubiaga took the picture he liked and processed it on a computer.
Layering has an interesting effect. Houses and streets are blurred and seen as in a dream. The viewer becomes limp, relaxed and helpless. But there is a certain center - a starting point that is clearly visible, which means that there is also a hope not to get lost in the big city.
Why did Alfonso Zubyaga choose New York from all cities in the world? A word to the author: "New York is probably the most often photographed, but I would like to show it in a different way, not the way it is usually done." The result is another dizzying photo project, but using completely different techniques.

City landscape on autumn leaves. Matthew Richards Art Project in Support of Affected New York
The world is not without good people. Day and night in one shot: amazing photos of New York
It seems that the sun was just shining outside the window. You take your eyes off the monitor - the Egyptian darkness. The day that had so much to do was over and the lanterns came on.
