You may remember a series of photographs by a German photographer Jan von Holleben, in which children flew in their sleep, trying on the costumes of astronauts and superheroes. The series was called Dreams of Flying, and Culturology.rf at one time I wrote an article about these curious photographic works. Apparently, the popularity of the photographs inspired the author so much that he decided to continue the "flying" series, but with a pretty girl in the lead role. These photos are not so much about flights as about what adult girls dream about, and it is called, accordingly, Girl`s Dreams … True, the photographer notes that at first it was boring for him to invent new versions of such "flights", but the appetite, as they say, comes with eating. And when Jan von Holleben realized what he wanted to portray in the photo this time, and found a beautiful girl for a series of photographs, but not a model, inspiration overwhelmed him with renewed vigor.
By the way, the fact that the pictures show a girl who is not a professional model made them the way we see them: bright, lively, spontaneous. The author says that his model invented many of the plots herself, in particular, the photo in the car was taken on her initiative. And working with such models is a pleasure.
In the end, he was pleased with the Girl's Dreams art project. This is a story in pictures that tells the life of a young girl who loves to sleep, dream and go shopping. Other works of the author can be seen on his website.

Dunno in a hostel, an adult girl Ellie, a beard in Karabas's pocket: What explains the oddities in popular children's books
Some of the books of our childhood read very differently when viewed through the eyes of a modern parent. For example, three series of stories raise big questions: about Dunno, about Buratino and about Ellie in a fairy land. Yes, there are two different books about Pinocchio, and they have different authors, and nevertheless, one story continues the other. But this fact is not at all surprising

Flight Dreams by Jan von Holleben
It is difficult to talk about the absolute power of pure happiness, about the irrepressible fun of children during the game, overflowing with their imagination. It's hard to remember all this, becoming a child again, shedding the weight of growing up and smiling carefree. Who among us in childhood did not dream of soaring in the air, did not jump on tiptoes, pretending to fly? Who has not imagined himself Superman, has not flown on an airplane carpet and set off to conquer space? Jan Von Holleben tried to recreate our
Dreams of symbolists, or deadly dreams of the eternal: classic canvases that evoke double feelings
We can say about the symbolist artists that they skillfully used the play of light and shadow, creating unthinkable images that amaze the imagination to painful perception and lead the viewer into an unusual state of mind. And this is a small part of what the "creators" were capable of, generating in their works dark, mysterious stories full of tragedy and despair. Their legendary canvases, imbued with antiquity, religion, death and cruelty, sow a day, make an indelible impression, awakening
