Tremble, victims of fashion! Fear those who are chasing the very latest trends offered by today's trendsetters! They are already laughing at you. And they do it very subtly and tastefully. Young Belgian illustrator Ashraf Amiri created a whole collection of sarcastic drawings, almost caricatures of modern fashion. And how did he get away with it? Ashraf has a special relationship with art, style and fashion trends. Despite the fact that he himself dresses stylishly, this did not stop him from reproducing on paper the associations that fashion designer brands evoke. Such as D&G, Versace, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and many others.
In an unflattering light, the author portrays not only fashion brands, but also those who showcase their clothes. So, he sees top models as effeminate men and anorexic girls. And a special niche in the series of fashionable cartoons is occupied by perfume designers, or rather, their products: Lanvin, Dali, DKNY … All this is so subtly ridiculed that sometimes doubts creep in whether the author really wanted this.
By the way, the author calls himself "the lost son of the Addams family", which, in fact, explains the nature of his drawings. You can get to know them better on the website of Ashraf Amiri.
