Belgian author Ashraf Amiri known in the art world as the author of sarcastic, and sometimes even cruel cartoons of modern fashion. More precisely, on those who have become victims of fashion, its obedient slaves. Once we wrote about a series of his fashionable cartoons that show famous brands in the most unsightly way. A new art project Fashion victim was created by the artist under the motto "fashion as a drug". The popular nowadays phrase "you are my personal sort of heroin" can be applied not only to a loved one, but also to any other object that causes a strong, pathological attachment. For some, it is extreme sports or hiking, for others - food and entertainment. The fashion victims also chose "heroin" to their taste. Accordingly, Ashraf Amiri presented popular brands in the form of one or another drug.
Such famous brands of the fashion industry as Armani and Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Burberry are represented in the art project as marijuana, heroin, pills and sex toys, since they are all capable of catching a pliable person on the hook and not letting go, causing certain inconveniences. and even causing irreparable harm. Unless in the case of victims of fashion, the danger threatens not health, but the wallet, and only in some cases addiction can come back to haunt a mental disorder.
Of course, you should not take too seriously the work of a sarcastic artist. You need to be able to laugh at yourself, says Ashraf Amiri, and is not going to stop this original series of fashion illustrations.
