If you look very closely at the image, what do you see? At first glance, it looks like black blotches on a white sheet of paper, but if you look even more closely, you can see the outline of a mouse. It seems? But this is not quite an ordinary mouse, it consists of unusual continental elements.
Kentaro Nagai is a Japanese graphic artist who is the author of this innovative approach to representing the signs of the zodiac. In a series of illustrations titled "The Twelve Animals," graphic artist Kentaro Nagai rearranged the world map to create the animals of the Chinese horoscope.
Kentaro involved all the continents and set them in motion, making them rotate and group, forming figures of animals - the signs of the zodiac. Every part of the world, from the largest continents to the smallest islands, participates in a project by a Japanese artist. Until February 15, Kentaro Nagai's work could be seen at the National Arts Center, Tokyo.
An animated version of the Kentaro Nagai project can be seen on the website.
