French artist Christian Guemy, better known for the floor by the name C215, is a master of stencil graffiti. He travels all over the world and leaves his drawings in the most unsightly places: on the walls of ruined houses, fences, rusty doors and trash cans. Thousands of people admire his work, and he does not consider himself a star at all: "I am just a stencil artist and I am really happy."
Stencils are stencils, that is, artists working in this genre create their own graffiti by applying paint over pre-prepared stencils. Unlike graffiti, stencils are usually one or two colors. After all, the more colors, the more stencils are required, and the greater the likelihood of error.
C215 depicts mostly faces. The author himself explains this by the fact that faces reflect the character and personality traits, and if desired, you can read the whole human life on them. The protagonists of C215's works are vagabonds, beggars, refugees, children from the poorest areas. “I paint on the streets people who actually belong to the street,” says Christian.
The artist travels a lot, emphasizing that drawing and traveling are the same for him. “I always compare graffiti to surfing. If you have been standing on the same shore all your life and sailing on the same wavelength, you are a failure. Drawings of C215 can be found on the streets of Morocco, Brazil, India, Israel, Poland … At the same time, the author tries to avoid repetitions, communicating with the inhabitants of each country and embodying the features of his new acquaintances in the images of his characters.
Christian says that he has been fond of graffiti since childhood. Later, he chose stencil graffiti - because this is the fastest way to paint something beautiful on the street. The artist paints during the day, because he believes that he is not doing anything illegal, which means that he should not hide. Nevertheless, he had already been arrested several times: in Paris, Amsterdam and Brooklyn - although he was soon released.

"Puppets". Installation by street art master Belin
Whether we like it or not, we are all puppets to one degree or another. Someone tries to manipulate us openly, others pull the strings so skillfully that you can live and not notice it. To paraphrase the great Shakespeare, the whole world is a puppet theater, and the people in it are puppets. In continuation of this theme, we present an installation by the Spanish author Belin, which is called “Puppets” (original “Titeres”)
