Recently, after a 10-year pause, a new season of the Last Hero project started on TV. In addition to show business stars, ordinary people far from the film industry took part in past seasons. How the project changed their lives, and how their fates developed after the fame that suddenly fell upon them after appearing on the screens - further in the review
From the very first season, which started in 2001, the project "The Last Hero" became the main sensation on television - neither its creators nor the participants themselves expected such popularity among a multi-million audience. The key to success was the soundtrack from the BI-2 group, and Sergei Bodrov Jr. as a presenter, and an interesting cast of participants. The winner of the first season was Sergey Odintsov, a customs officer from Kursk. He evoked ambiguous emotions in the audience: some respected him for his wisdom and foresight, while others reproached him for manipulating other participants and constant intrigues. He himself said about his participation: "".
After winning the show, the life of Sergei Odintsov changed dramatically: with the money he won, he bought an apartment in Kursk and a car, and then left the service at customs and became a deputy of the legislative assembly. In 2004, he returned to the screens, taking part in the 5th season of the project. In 2007, the press mentioned his name in connection with a scandal: he drove into the oncoming lane and hit a traffic police officer, for which he received a suspended sentence for a year. Today Odintsov lives in Nizhny Novgorod, is engaged in business, and runs the company. After the divorce, he married a second time. According to him, people periodically recognize him on the streets, but there is no trace of his former glory.
One of the brightest participants in The Last Hero was Inna Gomez. After the project, she managed to build, perhaps, the most successful career among all the participants. However, for the first time on the screens she appeared long before this show: at the age of 13 she starred in the short film "Dangerous Trifles", and at 14 she appeared in a cameo role in the film "Guest from the Future". In 1988, she became a semi-finalist of the Moscow Beauty contest, at the age of 21 she married a Spanish businessman, from whom she got the surname Gomez.
After the project, her film career continued: she starred in several films and TV series, including "Maroseyka, 12", "Birthday of Bourgeois-2", "Kamenskaya-2", "League of Deceived Wives" and others. In addition, Inna Gomez built a successful career in the modeling business and entered the top twenty most famous Russian models - despite the fact that she took up this late for a model - at the age of 26, after her divorce from her husband. Inna said: "". This year she turned 49 years old, which is hard to believe looking at her photo. Inna is a mother of 2 daughters and since 2011 she has been a trustee of the charitable foundation to help children with serious illnesses.
The kindest rival of the participants of the first season of the project called Sergei Tereshchenko. For 15 days of being on the show, he lost 20 kg, and after the end of the project he decided not to stop there and began to visit the gym. Sergei said: "". Like Inna Gomez, Sergei Tereshchenko began acting in films. In 2000, he graduated from the Yaroslavl Theater School, at the moment in his filmography there are already 40 roles, the most famous of which was the role of Fedya's security guard in the series "CHOP". In addition, Sergei Tereshchenko became the Moscow record holder in powerlifting. For more than 10 years he has been happily married and has two children. This year he will be 44 years old.
Sergei Sakin was remembered by the audience for his romance with the participant Anna Modestova and their wedding on the island. After the end of the project, they lived together, in 2005 the couple had a son. But soon after that, they broke up - the reason was Sergei's alcohol dependence. After parting with his second wife for the same reason, he ended up on the street altogether. Sakin admitted: "". In November 2017, Sergei Sakin disappeared, and six months later he was found dead in the forest. They say he was drunk and died of hypothermia.
The ex-wife of Sergei Sakin, Anna Modestova, was one of the most modest and charming participants in the project. The elementary school teacher immediately won the sympathy of the audience. After the divorce from her husband, no information about her future life appeared. She declined to comment on Sakin's death.
A student from Volgograd, Ivan Lyubimenko, was one of the main competitors of Sergei Odintsov on the project, it was for him that most of the spectators were rooting. On the island, he celebrated his 19th birthday. At the end of the show, he continued his studies at the university, and then made a successful career in the financial sector. He tells: "".
Unfortunately, the host of the first season of The Last Hero is no longer alive: The mysterious circumstances of the death of Sergei Bodrov.
