The source of inspiration for the ever growing cycle of drawings to the artist David Jeblow (David jablow) served as a leaflet with an exercise for novice artists of the middle of the last century - a sketch of a pin-up girl and the inscription "Doris yourself." Jeblow also completed the drawing - many times and with tremendous imagination.
At the sight of a naked young lady who needs to finish painting something in the area of the mouth and rear, all sorts of ideas can arise, but Jablow is not looking for easy ways. In his cycle Do It Yourself Doodler the long-suffering main character was a wrestler, an astronaut, and a victim of a multi-headed Chernobyl chicken.
Each of Jablow's drawings is a completely complete plot: take it now and turn it into a short film. In addition, all the sketches are worked out to the smallest detail - each of these comic sketches can be examined for an hour in a row.
Many artists are inspired by the pin-up aesthetics - it's worth remembering at least Jan Meiningaus and Riona Sabina - but few people manage to play with the "frivolous pictures" of the 1950s with the same wit as David Jeblow. The cycle continues to grow, and you can follow the project through a special blog.
