All, or almost all, girls love flowers. And, of course, there is nothing better than giving a bouquet of fresh, fresh flowers for a holiday or, even better, for no reason. Many people love flowers painted on paper and canvases, or wonderful photographs of morning flowers with dew drops. But the artist Hugh Turvey will make us look at the world of flora in a new way - from the X-ray room.
In general, in recent years, the tendency to use X-rays as a tool for creativity has been rapidly developing - one can recall at least seven artists working in this direction. Here are just a few names of radiographers, so to speak: Nick Veasey, a painter who works in his own X-ray room, EIZO, which created a strange pseudo-erotic calendar with girls, and others. However, florist radiologists … well, in general, none of them has worked with flowers yet, Hugh Turvey is the first. And very successful.
Hugh Turvey is now 39 years old, and his work with X-rays is known all over the world. At the age of 16, Hugh realized that superficial observation was not enough for him, and that in order to live a full life, one had to penetrate into the very essence of things. This easily explains his infatuation. x-ray - all the same, it shines through. By the way, he first used beams in 1996. A musician friend asked Hugh to make a cover for the album, and he decided not to skimp and please his friend with something original. He would have known then how close he himself was to success.
He himself says: “My curiosity is my motor. I have always been interested in the world around me, and as a child I often took apart different things to find out how they work. And with the help X-ray I can translate my curiosity into works of art. So that's it. One could be sarcastic and suggest that Hugh take a scalpel or some other hospital equipment in his hands, but I don’t want to - the flowers turned out to be really beautiful and unusual.
