Traveling to different countries, people bring home small pieces of what they saw - souvenirs, photographs, as well as gifts for family and friends. Memories will settle, gifts will be presented, and souvenirs will settle on the shelves and be covered with dust … But the British-German photographer Michael Hughes has other plans for souvenirs from distant countries.
Michael is a freelance photographer who specializes in reporting from different countries, where he happens to be both on duty and out of curiosity. And he is also a very practical person who cannot allow things like this, idle, gathering dust on the shelf. Passion for photography, love of travel, innate creativity of thinking and practicality gave Michael the idea of a very entertaining art project.
Each of these souvenirs has its own place in the city where it comes from. And it is there, "at home", that he looks natural and attractive, and not at all on a shelf with books or an office table. Something like this thought the photographer, taking pictures for his game art project. As a result, we can contemplate the famous Eiffel Tower, and the Palace of Versailles, and the famous London trams "at liberty" … It doesn't matter that the Eiffel's creation is made of cheap bronze, the palace is just a photograph, and the tram is plastic …
